Departure
a month and a half's work. i tried to add a lot more subtle variations and nuances into this song to make it more interesting; much easier in reason than in flp. the melodies turned out really well, and i think the song has a pretty good overall flow. if anyone would like a try at remixing it in reason, email me and ill send you the .rsn

Castor
Similar in some ways to laika, the bassline sound in there is something i really like doing. its a very bouncy song, with some pretty good percussion and lots of different synth sounds and melodies. not as repetitive as some of my other stuff.

Metencephalon
dancy, fast, melodic, old.

Documentary
this track is much more beat driven. i tried out some live things on this song and they turned out pretty well.

Dont Panic
remix of an old song i found. the original is from the BBC radio sessions of the hitchikers guide to the galaxy, the best book ever written. i copied the intro and stole a sample here and there.

f(x)
this track is similar in a lot of ways to airport. its a nice progression, and the melodies are a little more haunting.

Imix
someone said this sounded like depeche mode (you know who you are), they were lucky to escape with their lives. similar in style to tau ceti. drum pattern that comes in at 2:12 is one of my favorites.

Remainder
i regret not calling this song mellar's ranch. it sounds kinda western-ish. this track has some of my favorite drum programming, with good progressions.

Collective
this is a compilation i did with two spoken word artists from mp3.com. thanks to jeremiah gilbert and cydniey buffers for helping make this. also very atmospheric.

Laika
in memory of laika, canine cosmonaut.

Tau Ceti
this is still one of my best songs. i like the progression and the percussion. listen to this if nothing else.

Regulus
this track has a lot of potential if i ever EQ everything properly. i think the idea behind the song is solid, but like the giant, there's a little too much interference.

The Giant
a lot like myriad, but a little better. writing this one i imagined a folklore giant attacking a medieval village. yyyeah...the song got a little out of hand though. the volume keeps escalating and the interference gets to be a little too much. still worth a listen though.

Airport
a nice ambient track. more people liked this song than previous ones. very atmospheric, a lot like my more recent stuff.

Myriad
this track is just a mishmash of samples, as the name implies. i liked this song a lot at the time, not so much anymore.

MCL
i wrote this the day i heard about chris larson's suicide. he was a really good guy, and no one saw it coming.

I See It Now
this is a really old track. one of the first i ever did, has kind of a dancy feel.
